The Municipality is currently working hard to renew its Age-Friendly Municipality policy. And we need to consult as many citizens aged 50 and over as possible to help us.

What is an Age-Friendly Municipality? It’s a recognition that a municipality receives when it implements a policy and action plan to promote the active living of seniors, and thus their health and independence.

In Standstead Township, we’re currently analyzing the situation to see how we can improve and adapt the services we offer you: the environment, housing, transportation, infrastructure and social life.

And that’s where we need your input. We want to hear from you so that we can prepare an action plan that meets your needs and the wishes of the Township’s seniors.

Please fill in the survey : Survey

For those who prefer to fill out paper versions, printed surveys will be available at the Town Hall and Canon Gustin Hall at Café Fitch on April 26th from 10 a.m. to noon.

There will also be a public consultation day at the municipal office on May 23rd. There will be one consultation in English and one in French, and we hope to have about ten participants for each. You can register with Kimberley at 819-876-2948 ext. 221 or by e-mail at agent@cantonstanstead.ca.

We encourage you to participate in large numbers, and to spread the word to your friends and neighbors.
