Multifunctional surface / Ice rink

Inauguration of the multifunctional surface

The inauguration of the surface took place on December 18th, with Mr. Pierre Reid, Member of Parliament for Orford.

The total of this project was $166 000 and we received a provincial grant of 45% to fund this project under the Sport and Recreational Facilities Support Program-Phase III.

The surface will serve as an ice rink in winter and soon we hope to install modules for a future skatepark.

Mr. Reid concludes:

I am convinced that the development of a multifunctional area like this one will increase the regular practice of physical activity by all the population, in addition to becoming a new place for gathering and exchanges between young and old.

Mrs. Hélène Hamel, community agent, Mr. Pierre Reid, member of parliament of Orford, Mr. Jean DesRosiers, councillor, Mrs. Francine Caron Markwell, mayor and Pierre Martineau, councillor.
