The municipal council has decided to abolish parking on Remick Road. The ban applies to both sides of the road up to Thayer Street. This decision was made so that fire trucks can turn easily and without hindrance at the corners of Sheldon and Fitch Bay streets when there is an emergency.
A request has also been made to the Ministry of Transport to extend this measure to Sheldon Road.
