Par la présente, j’aimerais vous aviser qu’après mûre réflexion , j’ai décidé de me retirer de mon poste de Conseillère pour le Canton de Stanstead, effectif suite à la tenue des prochaines élections municipales qui auront lieu cet automne 2023. Les raisons qui m’ont portées à prendre cette difficile décision sont multiples et se résument au fait qu’après 6 ans de travail politique , le temps est venu pour moi de céder ma place. J’ai bien apprécié travailler avec notre maire Monsieur Pierre Martineau, et avant lui Madame Francine Caron Markwell. En collaboration avec les membres du Conseil et tous les employés, ils ont su relever plusieurs défis de taille. L’équipe du Canton de Stanstead est très engagée dans la poursuite d’objectifs qui me sont chers et elle me manquera beaucoup. En dernier lieu, je tiens à remercier du fond du cœur tous les citoyens pour le support et l’encouragement qu’ils m’ont donnés ces 6 dernières années. Je suis fière d’avoir contribuer à l’amélioration de notre beau milieu de vie et j’encourage fortement les citoyens qui ont des aspirations pour le service public à porter leur candidature au poste de conseiller municipal.

Message to the Citizens of Stanstead Township

I am writing to inform you that, after careful consideration, I have decided to retire from my position as Councillor for the Canton de Stanstead, effective with the next municipal elections to be held in the fall of 2023. There are many reasons why I have taken this difficult decision, and they resume to the fact that, after 6 years of political work, the time has come for me to step down. I have enjoyed working with our mayor, Mr. Pierre Martineau, and Mrs Francine Caron Markwell who have taken on many great challenges during their terms of office, as well as with the members of Council and all the employees. The Canton de Stanstead team is very committed to the goals I hold dear, and I will miss them very much. Finally, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the citizens for the support and encouragement they have given me over the past 6 years. I am proud to have contributed to the improvement of our beautiful living environment and I strongly encourage citizens who have aspirations for public service to run for the position of municipal councillor.
